Earthsoft Announces the Release of EQuIS 5.4.3.

EarthSoft is pleased to announce the release of EQuIS version 5.4.3. As the latest release in the industry-leading EQuIS product line, EQuIS v5.4.3 includes several new features, improvements, and bug fixes. We encourage everyone to review the release notes for a detailed description of the exciting features and improvements in this release. Just a few of the highlights are listed here:

•      EDP: EDP now supports multi-column drop-downs for valid values. For example, a multi-column drop-down may be used to display CAS Number and chemical name in the same drop-down. All EDDs saved in EDP will save dates in international date format so EDDs may be submitted across international boundaries without causing date conversion issues. Common error messages (such as missing parent rows or duplicate key values) have been simplified to explain exactly what the error is, what tables and fields are involved, and what value(s) caused the error to occur.
•      EQuIS Professional: Several enhancements have been made to 3rd party interfaces. Improvements have been made to the Action Levels and Groups forms. A new “Cascade Delete” button (available only to database owners) has been added to make it easier to delete unwanted data from the database. The Crosstab tool now supports custom exceedance formatting (background color, font, etc.).
•      EQuIS Enterprise: A couple of significant bugs have been fixed, including a threading issue that could mix up user identities in high concurrent usage scenarios and a workflow issue that required the workflow service to be restarted frequently. In addition, EQuIS Enterprise now supports FTP over SSL and IMAP, with improved support for POP.
